Interlude II

We interrupt your (ir)regularly scheduled programming to bring you a few selections of poetry. Please critique.

Light Shower on a Fall Evening

Tedious writing

never ending chapters

The smell of dinner

wafting up temptingly

Broken suddenly

Pause to listen and hear

The pitter-patter on the  sloping roof

above my head

like a sudden spring shower

now decked in restless light grays

of fall evening

with sunset in the trees

brightly yellow

and purple red

drooping under gray rain
